The NFL has announced that the Steel City will host the 2026 NFL Draft, a first for Pittsburgh.
NEW YORK, NY– The 2026 NFL Draft will be held in Pittsburgh for the first time in history.
“I look forward to football fans from all across the country coming to enjoy our city’s culture while also showcasing our rich football history and tradition in the region,” Steelers’ president Art Rooney II said in a statement. “This will be an amazing event that will highlight everything the region has to offer on a national and international level.”
The Steel City will host the NFL Draft for the first time in its history. The NFL Draft had been held in New York City for over 50 years but since 2014 the league has made the decision to expand its roots across the United States. In 2015 the draft moved to Chicago, then flip-flopped around the United States with the most recent iteration being held in Detroit. The 2025 NFL Draft will be held in Green Bay, continuing the theme of being a true all-country encompassing event.
The draft will incorporate elements of iconic Point State Park as well as Acrisure Stadium, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers. All the details haven’t been officially released but we can be sure the NFL Experience will be involved with a lead-up of festivities prior to the actual days of the draft.

This year’s draft in Detroit set a new all-time attendance mark with over 700,000 fans. Detroit broke the record set in 2019 by Nashville, which drew 600,000 fans over the three-day event.
